We know lightning strikes can cause devastating damage, costly downtime, and service interruptions to any structure or facility. A dependable lightning protection system is critical for safeguarding your investments.
Proper grounding and regular testing are essential to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with industry standards.
AEMC® Instruments' durable and user-friendly instruments ensure your facility is safe from lightning strikes.
Poor grounding can result in inoperative surge protection and delayed fault detection, exposing your facility to risk.
Grounding systems provide low-resistance paths to redirect foreign potentials, protecting equipment and operations from lightning-induced faults.
Verifies the reliability of ground rods and systems.
Ensures electrical continuity across connections and joints.
Identifies optimal grounding locations for cost-effective installation.
Confirms adherence to industry standards.
Ensures components are functional and corrosion-free.
Incorporates new services or structures into the protection system.
Measure ground rod and grid resistance in multi-grounded systems.
Ensure proper grounding in public pools and other facilities.
Test grounding systems at new construction sites and large facilities.
Range (0 to 1500) Ω, Alarm, Frequency selection, 2000 measurement storage, Bluetooth
Measure ground rod and grid resistance and impedance without the use of auxiliary rods. Model 6417operates on multi-grounded systems without disconnecting or de-energizing the ground system under test. Simply clamp it around the grounding electrode or conductor to measure the resistance to ground. Includes Bluetooth for connecting to a computer running our proprietary DataView® software, and an app for communication with AndroidTM devices.
Cat. #2141.02
Range (0 to 1200) Ω, Alarm, 300 measurement storage
The Ground Resistance Tester Model 6418 measures ground rod, busbar, and grid resistance and impedance without the use of auxiliary rods. Clamp-on ground resistance testers can be used in multi-grounded systems without disconnecting or de-energizing the ground system under test. Simply clamp it around the grounding electrode or conductor and measures the resistance to ground.
Cat. #2141.03
Range (0.5 to 50) Ω, Automatic Test Current 20 mA max, ±10 V peak open Voltage, > 1500 measurements @100 Ω in 3 P mode
The Digital Ground Resistance Tester Model 6422 performs 2-pole and 3-pole ground resistance measurement. This direct reading tester is auto-ranging, so it automatically seeks out the optimum measurement range.
